Goon Squad adds more talent, sign Johnny Malatesta to 1-year deal

On Thursday night, the Goon Squad held a press conference to announce the signing of free-agent league transfer Johnny Malatesta to a 1-year deal. As usual, the Goons did not hold back on their feelings about their odds of winning their first Wifflepalooza ever, or their feelings on other opponents (i.e Monstars & Flapacamingos). When asked why he decided on the Goons over other opportunities he had, Malatesta said "How could I resist such an offer? Facilities are great, atmosphere is great, family run organization, doesn't get any better than this". Malatesta brings the Goon Squad another expected power source other than Mark Ronchetti, who accounted for over 40% of the teams HR's in the last two tournaments (8 out of 19), and historically has accounted for over 45% of the team's total run production in all Wifflepaloozas (31 out of 68). It's a solid signing for the Goons, who not only add much needed run production, but apparently someone with a similar personality to the rest of the team.
