No one has ever burst onto the scene the way Engasser did. Running almost a clean sweep of the awards in 2022, some compared his rookie performance to Matt Creamer's in 2013. But Creamer swept the awards, the only player to ever do that. Engasser followed up with an overwhelming performance, winning his 2nd Cy-Young in as many years, and posting just the 3rd 0.00 ERA in tournament history (among pitchers to throw at least 8 innings). He did that over 18 innings. He struck out 34 of the 36 outs he recorded. He's thrown 3 no-hitters in 6 career starts. He's given up 5 total hits in 33 innings, and has yet to give up an extra base hit in his career.
