The Class of 2026, Wifflepalooza Hall-of-Fame

VINELAND - Ordinarily, every four years the Legends of Wiffle Council convenes to vote on the next Hall of Fame class of the greatest tournament known to man, Wifflepalooza. However, due to this year being Wifflepalooza XX, the next class has been moved up one year. The first two classes (2019 & 2023) resulted in six men being elected. Those men are

Nino Bonanno

Boone Swanberg

Mike Mazzochi

Nick Smaniotto

Matt Bocchese

Pat Ney

This year, in an expanded class we will welcome five new members. Without further adieu, here are the new members.

Bob Galbiati

Contributor/Broadcaster, WP1-WP3

One of the tournament’s founding fathers, Bob’s tireless work and support was instrumental in the tournament’s inception and implementation. His work as an on field host and broadcaster for the first three tournaments helped set the tone and example for how things are done to this day.

...........

Kris Lapsley

Outfielder/Pitcher, WP1, WP3-WP10

Homosexual Antelopes, Los Chasquis, Goodfellas, Flapacamingos

.457 / .536 / .745 / 1.281, 10 HR, 33 RBI, 40 games

6-4, 2.71 ERA, 62 innings, 56 K’s

5x All-Star, WP8 Champion, WP3 Most Improved

An underated star for his time, Lapsley was a significant contributor for some of the games best franchises. His clutch hitting and remarkable catch in the postseason of WP8 helped the Flapacs claim their 4th title. Kris still ranks 3rd all-time in ERA, 11th in WHIP & Innings pitched, and 12th in Wins.

Tyler Martini

Infielder/Pitcher, WP1-WP11, WP13, WP17

5x All-Star, WP3 Champion

For the first ten years of this tournament, one could argue there was no tougher out than “Jiminez”. Known for his ability to just simply always get on base, Martini set the standard for what a leadoff hitter looked like in Wifflepalooza. He goes in to the HOF still ranking 9th in Hits and 9th in total bases.

Brian Stanzione

Outfielder, WP2-WP14, WP18-Active

12x All-Star, 2x Title Game MVP, WP2 MVP, WP2 Top Rookie
6x Champion, All-time HR leader

Arguably the greatest of all-time, Stanzione stands alone atop a number of hitting categories, but also as the only man to have his name on the trident 6 times (as of 2025). 1st in HR, 1st in Total bases, T-1st in Hits, 2nd in Runs, 3rd in RBI, 6th in BA & OPS

...........

One of the games most feared hitters, Marky Smalls was a force to be reckoned with at the plate. At the time of his induction, he is still in the top ten of 6 major hitting categories, including 4th all-time in Home Runs

........

These 5 men will be inducted in a pre-tournament ceremony on August 8th, prior to the start of Wifflepalooza XX.
